DUBAI PRESS CLUB (DPC), IN COLLABORATION WITH CNBC ARABIA, CONDUCTED A WORKSHOP ON BEST PRACTICES FOR DEPLOYING CONTENT ON DIFFERENT SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS.
Dubai Press Club (DPC), in collaboration with CNBC Arabia, conducted a workshop on best practices for deploying content on different social media platforms. The workshop was organised as part of the Media National Youth Programme (MNYP) being held in partnership with the Watani Al Emarat Foundation and over 40 media and academic institutions.
More than 60 media students and young professionals participated in the session, which discussed customisation of news content for various social media platforms and the best tools to create content for a global audience.
Highlighting the importance of promoting Arabic content on social media platforms, Hessa Kalantar, Senior Manager, Media Content Development, Dubai Press Club, said: “We are working with our knowledge partners, who are leading media organisations, to explore more effective approaches for deploying Arabic content across digital platforms and identify best practices that can help enhance content quality in a rapidly evolving media environment.”
The workshop, which aimed to increase awareness on the ethical principles that should be applied to social media content, discussed new approaches for producing engaging Arabic content. “Against the background of the spread of social media networks and their increasing influence, the workshop discussed how various platforms can help enhance the reach and impact of Arabic content,” Kalantar said.
Commenting on the collaboration with DPC to host the workshop, Hana Hamzeh, Head of News and Programming at CNBC Arabia, said: “We are very pleased to collaborate with Dubai Press Club to deliver this workshop, especially since such initiatives help inspire upcoming business journalists to deeply imbibe the professional values of objectivity and accuracy that are core to the media profession.”
Launched in April, the second edition of the Media National Youth Programme aims to create a comprehensive platform for young Emirati students and media professionals to enhance their knowledge, expertise and skills in media. The Programme features a series of workshops in collaboration with leading academic and media institutions in the country.
