Arab Journalism AWARD
The Arab Journalism Award (AJA), launched in 1999, is the region’s most prestigious award recognising journalistic excellence. The award’s main goal is to reward talent, inspire, and stimulate creativity. It is also aimed at enhancing the constructive role of the press in serving the community.
Since its launch under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Arab Journalism Award has helped improve the quality of journalism and media in the Arab world.
Categories include investigative reporting; young talent in journalism; photojournalism; economic journalism; outstanding cartoon artwork; sports journalism; best press interview; best columnist; media personality of the year; political journalism; cultural journalism; smart journalism and humanitarian journalism.
